Just to say hope everyone’s recovered from the post race non-dragon boating weekend, be it in Sibu (and thanks again to Carina for organising it), Singapore or somewhere else entirely.
And now for a quick recap:
Hopefully you’ve all seen and responded to Adrian’s message regarding the Swan Races in Thailand (September and all details previously sent through are on the website). If you really want to join, hand over your $100 deposit THIS Saturday, money speaks louder than a confirmation email alone.
No training THIS Wednesday, an EASY paddle this Saturday to celebrate Carina’s last paddle in Singapore for only a little while. I know she’ll be back to show us some nifty tricks from the Dubai Flying Dragons when she’s back in the country, so this is merely an adieu, not an au revoir… We also have the Arabian Nights themed extravaganza planned for that evening at Blu Jazz (Bugis) and it is imperative that everyone dresses up for the occasion in required attire. Needless to say, there’ll be NO training this Sunday.
>From Wednesday 15th July, we’ll be resuming what is now considered our normal training schedule and adding a new dimension to the party hard (see above)/paddle harder (see below) motto:
pool practice Wednesday at Farrer Park Swimming Complex (7-9pm);
land practice Thursday (Kallang, 7ish? once I go, I’ll know);
usual practice Saturday (Kallang, aim for 3.45-6pm) and;
early morning Sunday practice (9-10.30am).
And finally, a message from our new sponsors, The Henley Group, with full details below. See you on Saturday, Rebecca
