Various messages about this Saturday – Training + 10K Race + Party!, this Sunday and next Friday too…

On August 20, 2009 by phil

From Paul:
This Saturday: training as usual for those NOT doing the 10K race, although the 10K should be finished in time for us to then do training!

So come down for training then beer, followed by a party for everyone at the Bungy Bar (BB’s) from 7pm till late. We could head to the Pump Room afterwards too.

As I believe there will be many of us drinking Saturday afternoon then partying later we have decided that there will be NO training this Sunday.

Please see the attached flyer about the party Saturday night as well as the below info:

Bungy Bar – Through 6 Drunk Men, we’ll be providing 1 bottle of VB per participant.
A bucket of 5 VB’s can be bought all night at the special price of $35 nett for a bucket of 5. There will be team drinking races – beers will be provided of course!

Food: Bungy Bar will be giving all participants 15% off all Food Items for the night (excluding Promotional items)
Transport: Bungy Bar and 6DM will provide buses for the transfer from Kallang Park to Bungy Bar after the 10k race. Other team members can meet us at BB’s later.

Bungy Rides: Special $25 deal per ride for any of the 10k participants.

This promises to again be a fun filled post race party. It is important, in support of the annual 10K, that we support our sponsors. We encourage everyone to attend the party at the Bungy Bar, next to the Bungy in Clarke Quay, in case you hadn’t worked that out!

All the best to everyone, looking forward to a great day on the water followed by some fun on the beach and then at Clarke Quay later in the evening.

All the best, Paul

And a Social Message from Gemma: Beer and Burger Night – Friday 28th August

We have had an invite from Wayne (Australian team) at BERGS Gourmet Burgers which has just opened in Far East Square (by Telok Ayer St, Citibank building, etc) to come down for dinner and drinks. Wayne will reserve us a bunch of tables and has promised us $5 beers all night long! Apparently the burgers are not expensive and they do have some lovely wines as well! Thought we could make this a night out and meet there about 7.30pm- 8pm next Friday, perhaps heading on somewhere else afterward for more drinks. Please let me know if you fancy coming and either email Gemma or let me know at training on Saturday so that I can let Wayne know how many tables are needed.
