Singapore Barbarians are going to Japan (Manza Race)

Hello Paddlers!

A message from Adrian – Please read ALL details below and RESPOND, if interested, BEFORE the end of April:

When: 3rd July till 5th July, as per below.

July 3rd 2010, Saturday

Depart from Singapore in the morning and reach Naha in the evening. Transportation from Naha Airport to the race area, (Manza). It will be around an hour’s ride.

July 4th 2010, Sunday

Full day race.

-All race boats are 10 man boats, no drummer

-Race course will be U turn 300m, 150m followed by a 180 degrees turn, and then another 150m back. Boats will be steered by the locals.

-Paddles WILL be provided. You will need to bring your OWN life vest.

July 5th 2010, Monday

Back from Manza to Naha in the morning, departing at around 10:00am. Those who wish to go back to Singapore can do so via the late morning flight which should be around 11:45am. For those who wish to extend their stay, it will be your own arrangement from here on.

Cost: This will be quite an expensive trip – flights and accommodation approximately $1300 SGD. You will be required to book your own flights – suggested connection:
