On September 11, 2010 by admin

Hello Paddlers!

A few things that you simply must know about:

Wednesday Training

Farrer Park Swimming Pool will be CLOSED tomorrow (8 September) and the week after next (22 September). Jason will be holding a LAND TRAINING session at the Indoor Stadium (Kallang Riverside) on these days, with training back at the pool as usual on 15 September and 29 September. We’ll meet outside the Indoor Stadium, by the main entrance steps, at 7pm. Please phone Andy if you get lost on the way.

SAVA Sprints

Please note that the dates for the SAVA Sprints have now been CHANGED by SAVA to 20/21 November 2010. The event will be held at Lower Seletar Reservoir.

Due to the date change, please re-register here.

International Pirates Day (18 September) – Social Secretaries’ Reminder

This is a quick reminder from your Social Secretaries that we are organizing an International Pirates Day event for the British Dragons on the 18th September 2010.

This will be a fun paddle at Kallang starting at normal training time, please arrive at 3.30pm. Please also be aware that although it will be fun, we will be doing some training activities throughout the afternoon, so come prepared to paddle and exercise! We are organizing some special pirate challenges to take place on the water followed by a BBQ by the riverside afterwards. To cover the cost of the challenges, prizes, BBQ and beer please pay Mifie $30 by next weekend at the latest. We need to have confirmed numbers in advance so we can organize this, so please sign up via this link Click here to register or register directly with us.

Lastly, this is a Fancy Dress Paddle, but please make sure it’s also a safe paddle – sensible fancy dress that you can paddle in please – save the madness for the BBQ!

Looking forward to seeing you all there!
