If you’ve been a “Maybe” or a “No” for this event it is now time to get off the fence and let Ian know that you will be going so that we can start firming up flights and accomodation for the team. Email Ian now to let him know you are coming to Korea:
5) BORACAY RACE REPORT
Paul has provided the following report:
“Eleven British Dragons took part in the Boracay International Dragon Boat Race as the Singapore Barbarians and all 11 made it back without alcohol poisoning. This year there were over 40 Barbarians, racing in 500 metre and 300 metre races on clear water and white sand. Photos and small video are being prepared to show everyone at a later stage. We all made some new friends from other expat teams in Singapore and got into 3 Semi-finals, not bad at all for a team that does not regularly paddle together.
A big thank you must go to our most excellent International and Barbarians Rep – Ian Jones, his organisational skills and efforts ensured the the Brits were well taken care of and we met the organisers deadlines ahead of time. The British Dragons were the only team to actually be singled out and mentioned by Danny (Barbarians Manager) on how organised and timely we were. So great job Ian!”
I look forward to seeing you at training this Saturday and Sunday.
