POOL TRAINING RESTARTS   |   TRAINING CONTINUES OVER CHINESE NEW YEAR   |   RACE REGISTRATION   |

1) POOL TRAINING RESTARTS

Pool Training restarts at 7.00pm on Wednesday 6th February 2013 at the Farrer Park Swimmimng Complex.

If you’ve never been along to Pool Training then do try it! We do a good mix of fitness exercises for building stamina and also paddling technique practice (sitting astride the edge of the pool with the drain gratings removed in case you wondered!).

It is a $2 fee at the front desk when you enter the swimming complex (do add your name to the British Dragons register there too) and then the usual $10 to our Treasurer.

Dress the same as for paddling as you’ll usually get immersed up to your waist at least. The pool has changing rooms, showers, etc. As always it is wise to bring your own water along though the pool does have vending machines (and sometimes the cafe there is open too).

We meet at Farrer Park Swimming Complex on Rutland Road off Hampshire Road at 7.00pm each Wednesday evening.  The pool is opposite KK Women’s Hospital about a ten minute walk from Little India MRT station. Here is a map of location:

The team will often go off to a local cheap eaterie for supper afterwards at about 8.45pm if you want to join along.

2) TRAINING CONTINUES OVER CHINESE NEW YEAR

Please note that we will continue with our usual Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning training sessions at Kallang this weekend (i.e. the 9th and 10th of February).

3) RACE REGISTRATIONS

Please note that SDBA have now cancelled the proposed Asia Club Crew event which was due to be held in Singapore in mid-May.
