TRAINING DATES | HONG KONG RACE BRIEFING | LET’S POOL OUR PICS |

1) TRAINING DATES

Our Captains remind all team members that if you are racing in Hong Kong or at the Singapore Dragon boat Festival then you should be attending ALL trainings from now on. Here is a quick guide to key training dates before we head to Hong Kong:
3.30pm Saturday 8th June – Kallang
8.45am Sunday 9th June – Kallang
7.00 pm Wednesday 12th June – Farrer Park Swimming Complex
3.30pm Saturday 15th June – Kallang
8.45am Sunday 16th June – Kallang
7.00 pm Wednesday 19th June – Farrer Park Swimming Complex (HK Race Stretch)
Just a reminder that dragon boating is a watersport – as such we train “rain or shine” and NEVER cancel sessions due to inclement weather! In the event that we have a “Category 1” lightning warning then we retreat to a covered area and continue with some other training

2) HONG KONG RACE BRIEFING

This will be held at 7.30pm on Friday June 14th at London – Boat Quay

We’ll go through the logistics, the races, what we can expect from the event and we will hand you your Fancy dress costume. This is the chance to gain a first-hand briefing about the challenges and techniques of racing on open water in Hong Kong so do be sure to attend.

Of course we’ll have some beers as well!

3) LET’S POOL OUR PICS

Our team Flickr group contains photos from the last four years of team adventures and is becoming a fantastic resource for our website, promotional materials and nostalgic browsing!
Flickr now gives everyone 1TB of free storage so please add your photos to our shared pool where they can automatically feature on our website and build our collection.

See you at training!

All the best,

Philip N. Morgan – Team Secretary
British Dragons
– Singapore
