1) TRAINING RESUMES
Please note that we will restart training with GOOB’s at Kallang at 6.30am on Tuesday 16th June 2015.
We will recommence Pool Training at Farrer Park Swimming Complex at 7.00pm on Wednesday 17th June.
At 7.00pm on Thursday 18th June we will have Boot Camp (alternating with Pilates – led by Ana – each week).
Please note that Boot Camp/Pilates is moving to a new venue to make the sessions more accessible.  From now on they will be based near where we located our tent at the DBS Marina Regatta, i.e. on the waterfront between the Marina Bay Sands and the Marina Bay Financial Centre (across the water opposite the Fullerton Bay Hotel and near where the pontoons and boardwalk can be found).
The Captains emphasise that if you have signed up for the Hong Kong races or the Singapore Dragon Boat Festival that you should commit to as many training sessions as possible (including GOOB’s and Boot Camp/Pilates) over the next 5 weeks.

2) LAST CHANCE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FITNESS TEST

The Fitness test will be held on Saturday 20th and/or Sunday 21st June. Please assume that this exercise will take at least half a day; based on the registration we will know how many of you are in for the tests. We will come up with a schedule and will let you know when your tests will start.  We will ensure there will be ample time given between tests to allow for recovery.

In order to participate in the fitness test, you need to register at the latest by Sunday 14th June 2015

Please indicate in the comments box if there are any medical conditions we should be aware of (shoulder injuries etc.) and if there is any time on the testing day which doesn’t work for you so we can schedule the day as best as possible.

Tests are being run in addition to regular training.  Should you sign up to partake in the fitness tests, you will also be expected to join for regular training – this is particularly true for those who have signed up for the Hong Kong and SDBF races.

3) KIT REMINDER

Please remember that you should wear team kit to all training sessions – especially now that Boot Camp and Pilates will have much more public visibility as we move the sessions to Marina Bay.
You can see the whole range of team kit available at our store:
If you need to buy kit (or more kit!) then speak to our Kit Manager (Erika) or drop her an email at:
See you at training!

All the best
