TRAINING THIS WEEKEND  |   BRITISH DRAGONS AMAZING RACE 2015   |   BOOT CAMP THIS WEDNESDAY   |

1) TRAINING THIS WEEKEND

We will have training as usual at 3.30pm this Saturday 5th September 2015.Training will run concurrently with the  AustCham 10K Challenge Race and so if you are in a training boat you may well get the chance to see the 20 boats in the 10K event racing around Marina Bay (and perhaps even be able to cheer the British Dragons boat along too!).Please do not forget to bring your own water to all training sessions. 1.5L to 2L should be sufficient.

Due to most of our Sunday “regulars” also being in the 10K crew we have decided there will be NO TRAINING on Sunday 6th September 2015.  Please enjoy your lie-in.

2) BRITISH DRAGONS AMAZING RACE 2015

We’re going to have our amazing race on Sunday 6th September at 2pm.  If you are competing please assemble at London (Boat Quay) from 1.00pm onwards.$10 members, $20 non members.
If you haven’t signed-up already you can see if there are any last-minute slots open by sending an email to:

social@britishdragonboat.com

If you are not competing but would like to join along for the results and celebrations then you are welcome at London from 4.00pm.  Please wear your drinking shirt and bring along your London card for discounts.

3) BOOT CAMP THIS WEDNESDAY

The Farrer Park Pool is not available to us on Wednesday 9th September 2015.  So instead we’ll be holding an additional Boot Camp at Marina Bay Promenade.

If you have never come along to a Boot Camp then this is a great time to give it a try.  We assemble on the Boardwalk at Marina Bay (slightly to the right of Marina Bay Sands not far from the Ferry Boat kiosk).  Arrive from 7.00pm – the session is from 7.30pm-8.30pm.

The nearest station is Bayfront MRT (in MBS) or you can go to Raffles Place MRT and follow the subways round to emerge at The Promontory then keep walking around the bay towards MBS.
Please wear your team kit and bring along plenty of water and a towel.  Running shoes/trainers are also a good idea.
On the following evening (Thursday 10th September) we’ll have Pilates with Ana at the same time and location.  Again please wear team kit and bring along your water, a towel and yoga mat.

I look forward to seeing you all at training on Saturday.

Best wishes,

Philip N. Morgan – Team Secretary
British Dragons
